Health & Wellness
For the safety and protection of all, students should not attend school sick.
If your child has COVID-19 Symptoms
If your child has any of the COVID-19 symptoms listed below, keep your child home and report it to the office (greendellattendance@pausd.org, 650 856 0833) and get a PCR COVID-19 test.
- fever (100 degrees or higher) or chills
- cough
- shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- new or unexplained sore throat
- new or unexplained fatigue
- new or unexplained muscle aches
- new of unexplained headache
- loss of taste/smell
- new or unexplained nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
Once you get the COVID-19 test results, submit the results to the school office (greendellattendance@pausd.org).
If the result is negative, your child can return after being free of fever/vomiting/diarrhea for at least 24 hours without medicine, your child feels well, and other remaining symptoms are improving.
If the result is positive, notify the office (650 856 0833) and follow the instructions from your healthcare provider. Additional information will be sent to you from PAUSD. For more about the school district's COVID-19 procedures, click here.
Illness with non-COVID-19 Symptoms
If your child has any symptoms of illness that are not listed above as COVID-19 symptoms (runny nose, for example), please stay home until the symptoms improve and your child has the energy to enjoy the school day.
Other communicable diseases like pink eye (conjunctivitis), chicken pox, or hand-foot-mouth disease also need to be reported to the school so exposure notices can be sent to the rest of the class.
If you are in doubt whether your child is well enough to attend school, please stay home!
